Troop NOLAFounded in 2024 by Colonel Robert Hodges and Governor Jeff Landry, Troop NOLA was established as a specialized unit of the Louisiana State Police dedicated to enhancing public safety and quality of life in New Orleans. Troop NOLA works in close partnership with the New Orleans Police Department, other law enforcement agencies, and community stakeholders to address the unique challenges facing the city. Through a comprehensive approach rooted in intelligence-based proactive policing, robust traffic enforcement, and enhanced coordination with law enforcement agencies and community stakeholders, Troop NOLA aims to reduce crime, foster community trust, and create a safer environment for residents and visitors alike.

In addition to its crime prevention initiatives, Troop NOLA recognizes the significance of the tourism industry in New Orleans. With its unique blend of music, culture, and history, the city attracts visitors from across the globe. Troop NOLA collaborates closely with tourism and law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of tourists, providing assistance and support as needed.

Motor vehicle crashes are the leading killer of children in the United States. Many injuries and deaths can be prevented by properly using car seats. With four out of five seats misused, certified technicians provide a valuable service to parents and caregivers concerned with the safe transport of their most precious cargo.

Child Safety Seat Inspections are available at Troop B in Kenner every Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and by appointment in New Orleans. For appointments, contact:
