Telecommunications Best Practices for Missing and Abducted Children
This fully online course provides tools and training which promote swift and decisive response in the critical, early stages of incidents involving missing and abducted children. The course is delivered through Fox Valley Technical College’s Blackboard Online Learning System and is designed to be completed in a self-directed manner. The content is delivered across five modules and is designed to require a total of 5-6 hours to complete. The course includes content designated for front-line telecommunications personnel (call-taking, unit dispatch, NCIC and records management), and can also be useful for front-line law enforcement officers who provide field first-response and/or who work closely with the communications center (shift management, NCIC, records).
Patrol First Response for Missing and Abducted Children
This fully online course is designed to provide law enforcement patrol officers with basic/entry-level information and operational resources to effectively handle first response functions in the critical, early stages of incidents involving missing and abducted children. The course is delivered through Fox Valley Technical College’s Blackboard Online Learning System and is designed to be completed in a self-directed manner. The content is delivered across four modules and is designed to require a total of 1.5 hours to complete.
