**UPDATE**Silver Alert: Assistance Needed Locating Missing Jonesville Man

The Silver Alert for 66-year-old William Sabitus has been canceled. He has been found safe. Please refer all inquiries about this case to the LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office. Thank you for the assistance.

Silver Alert: Assistance Needed Locating Missing Jonesville Man

LaSalle Parish– The Louisiana State Police has issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office for 66-year-old William Sabitus. He was last seen at his residence on 145 Sanson Road in Jonesville on October 5, 2024, at approximately 7:21 p.m. LSP received the request to issue a Silver Alert at approximately 10:28 a.m. this morning.

Sabitus is a white male with gray/brown hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 5’11” tall and weighs approximately 175 lbs. It is believed he is traveling on foot, wearing a light blue shirt and blue jeans.

Sabitus suffers from a medical condition that impairs his judgment and has a documented history of being disoriented.

Anyone having any information regarding the whereabouts of Sabitus should immediately contact the LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office at 318-992-2151 or local law enforcement by dialing 911.
