*Cancelled* Silver Alert: Assistance Needed Locating Missing St. Francisville Man

UPDATE: Mr. Kerr was located safe in Mississippi and is being reconnected with his family. The Silver Alert is cancelled. Please direct any questions to the St. Francisville Police Department. 

St. Francisville – Louisiana State Police has issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the St. Francisville Police Department and is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 81-year-old William “Butch” Kerr.  He was last seen on Friday, August 9, 2024, at his home on Pine Street in St. Francisville in West Feliciana Parish. Kerr was discovered missing on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at approximately 2:00 PM.


Kerr is a white male with gray hair and blue eyes. He is approximately 6’0 tall and weighs about 195 pounds. Kerr suffers from a medical condition that may impair his judgment.


Kerr is believed to be driving a 2019 Gray Chevrolet Equinox with Louisiana license plate 716FSI. The vehicle also has a front license plate which displays “Butch” on it. He is possibly traveling to the area of Woodville, Mississippi.


Anyone with information regarding Kerr's whereabouts is asked to immediately contact the St. Francisville Police Department at 225-784-3136 or dial 911. All questions should be directed to the St. Francisville Police Department.
