Louisiana State Police Detectives Arrest Suspect in Texas ATV Theft Case

Jefferson Davis Parish - On December 12, 2024, the Clay County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) responded to HE Powersports in Henrietta, Texas, regarding five ATVs that were stolen overnight. The combined total loss of property was over $150,000. Through investigative means, the CCSO was able to identify a possible suspect living in Louisiana and requested assistance from the Louisiana State Police.

On Saturday, December 14, 2024, detectives with the Louisiana State Police Region 2 Criminal Investigations Division (CID) and the Louisiana State Police Criminal Intelligence Unit (CIU) located the suspect, 31-year-old Jamarcus Dwayne Williams of Iota, Louisiana.

During the investigation, Louisiana State Police detectives located and recovered all five stolen ATVs. They also located a stolen 40-foot flatbed trailer, valued at approximately $30,000, used during the crime.

Williams was arrested for five counts of LA RS 14:69, illegal possession of stolen things, and booked into the Jefferson Davis Parish Correctional Center. Williams will also face additional charges in Clay County, Texas.
