**UPDATE** Level II Endangered/Missing Child Advisory (6)

Update - Please cancel the Level II Endangered/Missing Child Advisory for 9-year-old Karson Kovac. Karson has been located and is safe. All inquiries should be directed to the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office. Please remove any photographs of Karson.

Ouachita Parish – The Louisiana State Police has issued a Level II Endangered/Missing Child Advisory on behalf of the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office for 9-year-old Karson Kovac. Kovac was last seen riding an ATV in the cornfields near the 2200 block of Highway 80 East in Monroe on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at approximately 11:57 p.m. Kovac is believed to be riding with Ricky Knotts. LSP received the request to issue an alert at approximately 4:24 a.m. this morning.

Kovac is a white male with blue eyes and strawberry blonde hair. He is 4’9” tall and weighs approximately 80 pounds. He was last seen wearing bright blue shorts, blue and grey camouflage Crocs, and a white sleeveless shirt. Knotts is a 38-year-old white male with brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, white shorts, and white shoes.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Karson Kovac or Ricky Knotts is asked to immediately contact the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office at (318) 329-1200 or dial 911. All questions should be directed to the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office.
