The initial investigation began on January 26, 2022, when Investigators began an undercover child exploitation case. During the course of the investigation, Bordelon was identified as having online conversations with an undercover FBI Agent posing as 13-year-old and 14-year-old females. During conversations with Bordelon, he detailed on numerous occasions the sexual acts he wanted to perform with the juvenile females.
On February 9, 2022, Troopers assigned to the Louisiana State Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit located and arrested Bordelon in East Baton Rouge Parish. Bordelon was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail for violating LRS 14:81 Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile (3 counts) and LRS 14:81.3 Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor (3 counts). This remains an active investigation and further charges are pending.
The LSP Special Victims Unit works to rescue and seek justice for the victims of crimes involving the exploitation of children and the trafficking of humans for sex or labor. The public plays an important role in identifying suspects accused of these crimes, and is urged to report criminal or suspicious activity.
