AMBER ALERT - Pointe Coupee Parish

Pointe Coupee Parish - The Louisiana State Police has issued an AMBER Alert on behalf of the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s Office for A’laya Jackson, who is believed to have been abducted by Carnasia Mims. Jackson was last seen on Bayou Run Drive in New Roads, Louisiana. She was abducted at approximately 3:18 p.m. The Louisiana State Police received the request to issue the AMBER Alert at 10:25 p.m.

A’Laya Jackson is a 3-month-old black female with black hair and brown eyes. Her height and weight are unknown.  

Carnasia Mims reportedly entered a home on Bayou Run Drive and took Jackson. Mims is approximately 5’4” and weighs approximately 137 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

She is believed to be traveling in a 2012 blue Toyota Yaris bearing Louisiana license plate 533HZE.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of 3-month-old A’Laya Jackson or Carnasia Mims should immediately contact the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s Office at 225-694-3737 or local law enforcement by dialing 911. All questions should be directed to the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s Office.
