Notice of Violation

If your vehicle was not insured at the time the notice of violation was issued, your vehicle’s titling and registering privileges will be revoked and your driver’s license will be blocked against renewal or reissuance. In order to be placed in compliance. You will be required to provide:

1. Proof of current liability insurance or other security;
2. A $10.00 administrative fee; and
3. Appropriate reinstatement fee:

1st REINSTATEMENT…………………………………………...$100.00

Administrative Hearings (R.S. 49:950)

Written request for hearing must be made within 10 days from date of this notice. Basis for request shall be limited to a review of the issue of whether the vehicle was covered by a valid policy of liability insurance at the time of the violation. A hearing request will not stay the revocation action
