Emergency Vehicle Operations Center (EVOC)

JESTC has a state-of-the-art Emergency Vehicle Operations Center (EVOC). A two (2) mile oval driving track was developed with multiple travel lanes and varying driving surfaces. EVOC is equipped with a three (3) story control tower, which provides complete visual observation and command and control for all training scenarios.

First Class Instruction

Various driver training courses are offered. Training can be tailored to meet specific customer needs. Courses include:

• POST Certification and Refresher
• Defensive Driver Training (2, 4, or 8 hr.)
• Instructor Certification

Students experience multiple scenarios and road conditions using driving simulators.

Explosives Ranges and Training

The Joint Emergency Services Training Center (JESTC) features six fully equipped explosives ranges designed to provide realistic, hands-on training while accommodating a wide variety of operational scenarios. Our ranges allow cadets, officers, and first responders to safely practice critical skills, understand explosive behavior, and execute investigative and tactical procedures.

• Demonstration Range - Used for live demonstrations of explosive devices and safety procedures, providing trainees with a clear understanding of potential hazards and handling techniques.
• Disruptor Range - Specialized for practicing the use of explosive disruptors to safely disable explosive threats.
• Post Blast Investigation - Provides real-world scenarios for analyzing explosive scenes, evidence collection, and understanding blast patterns.
• Special Charges - Designed for training with unique or unconventional explosive charges, including controlled detonation exercises.
• Booby Trap/Scenario Range - Offers complex environments for learning how to identify, react to, and neutralize booby traps and other hidden threats.
• 2 Breaching Houses - Simulated structures for training explosive entry techniques, tactical breaching, and coordinated team operations.

Firearms Ranges and Training

JESTC provides world-class firearms facilities that accommodate various calibers and ammunition types. Ranges feature covered assembly areas, concrete walkways, and environmentally friendly bullet recapture systems.

• 5 Pistol Ranges (50 yards with up to 50 firing points)
• 600 Meter High Power Rifle Range
• Large Classrooms with Individual Storage Space

• Two-Story Shoot House (.223 frangible capable)
