**UPDATE** Louisiana State Police Investigating Multi-Agency Officer-Involved Shooting in Shreveport

 

Shreveport- On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, shortly before 2:00 p.m., several local law enforcement officers assisting the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force were attempting to affect an arrest on a wanted subject at the Foxborough Cove Apartments in the 8200 block of Pines Road. During the encounter, the subject produced a firearm and as a result, shots were exchanged. As a result of the gunfire, the subject was struck and pronounced deceased on scene.

During the exchange of gunfire, a Caddo Parish Deputy was struck in the upper body. He was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries, and later released in stable condition.

Louisiana State Police (LSP) was requested to investigate this officer-involved shooting. LSP Investigators are working diligently to process this crime scene and gather further information.

Shreveport – Louisiana State Police Investigators have been requested by all involved agencies to investigate an officer-involved shooting in Shreveport.  Investigators are working diligently to process the crime scene and gather further information.  Additional details will be released when available.
