Driver Killed in Single Vehicle Crash on LA 10
UPDATE: The unidentified driver killed in the crash on December 24, 2022 has been identified as 68-year-old Luther Cutrer Jr. of St, Francisville.
Saint Francisville – On Saturday, December 24th, 2022, shortly before 7:00 PM, Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop A were dispatched to a single vehicle crash with injury on LA 10 near Bains Rd. in West Feliciana Parish. The crash ultimately claimed the life of the driver. The identity of the driver is being withheld pending notification to the family.
The initial investigation led Troopers to determine that the driver was traveling west on LA 10 in a 2019 Ram 2500. The vehicle was towing a small utility trailer. For reasons still under investigation, the vehicle traveled off the roadway to the right and crashed into a tree.
Despite being properly restrained, the driver sustained severe injuries. He was transported to a local hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. As part of the ongoing investigation, blood samples were collected and will be submitted to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for scientific analysis.
