Arnaudville – On March 17, 2025, shortly before 9:00 pm., Louisiana State Police Troop I began investigating a single-vehicle fatality crash on Louisiana Highway 347 near its intersection with Huron Road. The crash claimed the lives of 42-year-old Kent Allemond and 52-year-old Angel Allemand, both of Arnaudville.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2010 Mazda 3, driven by Kent Allemond, was traveling north on LA Hwy 347. For reasons still under investigation, the Mazda traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.

Both Kent Allemond and Angel Allemand were unrestrained at the time of the crash, suffered fatal injuries, and were pronounced dead at the scene. This crash remains under investigation.

While not all crashes are survivable, wearing seatbelts correctly can significantly reduce your chances of severe injury. Ensure that the seatbelt is correctly positioned across your hips, chest, and shoulders, and make sure that children are securely fastened in appropriate car seats. These measures are crucial for arriving at your destination safely. Additionally, distracted and inattentive driving remains a leading cause of crashes in our state. Adhering to these simple precautions and following all traffic laws can significantly enhance road safety.
