Dubach – On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, shortly before 8:00 p.m., Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop F began investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 167, just north of Louisiana Highway 545. The crash claimed the life of 43-year-old Mark Grafton.
The initial investigation revealed that a 2001 Dodge Ram, driven by Grafton, was traveling north on U.S. Highway 167. For reasons still under investigation, the Dodge ran off the left side of the road and overturned.
Grafton, who was unrestrained, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. Although impairment is not suspected, routine toxicology samples were collected and will be submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.
Although not every crash is survivable, properly wearing your seat belt significantly reduces your risk of serious injury or death in a crash. Taking the time to ensure that every occupant is properly restrained can often mean the difference between life and death.
