Louisiana State Police urges everyone to make responsible decisions that can save lives on our roadways. While not all crashes are survivable, these simple actions can significantly increase the chances of survival.

Pedestrians are reminded that walking along an interstate is strictly prohibited under Louisiana law, except in emergency situations. In areas where pedestrian traffic is allowed, it is essential to stay alert, walk facing oncoming traffic, wear reflective clothing, and avoid distractions.
