Troopers Investigating Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash in West Feliciana Parish
Saint Francisville – Shortly after 5:00 a.m. on August 31, 2026, Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop A began investigating a single-vehicle crash on LA 66 near Solitude Road in West Feliciana Parish. The crash claimed the life of 65-year-old Tammy Neames of Saint Francisville.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Neames was driving a 2019 Ram 1500 east on LA 66. For reasons still under investigation, the Ram traveled off the roadway to the right, entered a ditch, struck a private driveway, and overturned.
Neames was properly restrained, suffered serious injuries, and was pronounced deceased on the scene. Impairment is not suspected; however, a routine toxicology sample will be collected and submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.
Louisiana State Police reminds motorists that every decision made behind the wheel matters. Drivers should remain alert, avoid distractions and impairment, and always stay focused on the roadway. A momentary lapse in attention can have devastating consequences.
