Trooper Seriously Injured Following St. Landry Parish Crash

Opelousas – On July 16, 2025, shortly before 6:00 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop I began investigating a serious injury crash involving a Trooper on US Highway 190 near the intersection with Louisiana Highway 104. 

Preliminary information reveals the Trooper was investigating a prior crash when they were struck by a vehicle. The Trooper sustained serious but stable injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. 

This investigation is ongoing. Additional details will be released as they become available.
