Family Health and Safety Day – Food Trucks, Family, and Fun
Baton Rouge – Louisiana State Police Troop A is hosting its Annual “Troop A Day” on Saturday October 1st, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the grounds of Baton Rouge General Hospital. This will be an unforgettable day of fun, family and food. We invite the Greater Baton Rouge area to join us at 8585 Picardy Avenue to learn more about health, wellness, and safety. “Troop A Day” is free of charge to the public.
Troopers are excited to showcase the positive work being done through demonstrations with patrol units, the LSP Bomb Robot, helicopters, LSP Mobil Command Post, and even a chance to try on special goggles for field sobriety. Additionally, local and state agencies will be onsite with important health and safety information for all ages. Eventgoers will be able to interact with these agencies on matters such as car seat safety, cancer awareness, health screenings, and disaster recovery. Kids can look forward to interactive games, activities, K9 exhibits and so much more!
With the help of our generous sponsors, “Troop A Day” continues to exceed our expectations each year. We would like to thank The Coca-Cola Company, Custom Security Systems, Blue Bell Ice Cream, The Louisiana Trooper Foundations, and all of our other sponsors for partnering with us to make this event possible. Our community partners are an essential element in making “Troop A Day” a success for our entire community.
Louisiana State Police Troop A welcomes all residents of the Greater Baton Rouge area and the media to join us on October 1st for what will be a spectacular day of fun and learning. We hope to see you there!
