**UPDATE**Level II Endangered/Missing Child Advisory
Assistance Needed Locating Missing Vernon Parish Child
Update - Please cancel the Level II Endangered/Missing Child Advisory for 6-year-old Landen Stephens. Landen has been located and is safe. All inquiries should be directed to the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office. Please remove any photographs of Landen.
Vernon Parish – The Louisiana State Police has issued a Level II Endangered/Missing Child Advisory on behalf of the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office for 6-year-old Landen Stephens. He was last seen at approximately 9:30 p.m., on Friday, September 12, 2025, at his home in Pitkin on Ernest Thompson Road. LSP received the request to issue an alert at approximately 2:45 p.m. this afternoon.
Stephens is a white male with brown eyes and hair. He is 3’0” tall and weighs approximately 70 pounds. Stephens was last seen wearing black/gray shorts with no shirt.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to immediately contact the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office at (337) 238-1311 or dial 911. All questions should be directed to the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office.
