Update - The Silver Alert issued for 78-year-old Ronald Reeder has been canceled. He has been located and is safe. The Alexandria Police Department and the Louisiana Critical Response Emergency Search Team (CREST) located him.
CREST serves as a rapid-response, specialized resource for critical missing person investigations and works in coordination with the Louisiana State Analytical and Fusion Exchange and the Louisiana Clearinghouse for Missing and Exploited Children. Through collaboration, training, and statewide coordination, CREST remains committed to enhancing public safety and delivering timely, focused responses when they matter most.

Rapides Parish – The Louisiana State Police has issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the Alexandria Police Department for 78-year-old Ronald Reeder. He was last seen on April 27, 2026, at 4:04 p.m., when he was discharged from a local hospital in Alexandria. LSP received the request to issue an alert at approximately 10:17 p.m. on April 28, 2026.
Reeder is a black male with brown eyes and short white hair. He is 5’10” tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds, and was last seen wearing a gray shirt, tan pants, and black shoes. Reeder suffers from a medical condition that may impair his judgment.
Reeder is believed to be on foot, traveling in an unknown direction.
