Krisean Salinas, Destin Brogan, and Kopelon Vicknair have all been captured. All fugitives have now been apprehended. The apprehensions followed a Louisiana State Police CREST mission carried out in coordination with the Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office, East Carroll Parish Sheriff’s Office, Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office, Alexandria Police Department, Yazoo City Police Department, Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, Louisiana Probation and Parole, the U.S. Marshals Service, and the FBI.

Kevin Slaughter Jr. and Kolin Loney have been captured. Their apprehension resulted from a Louisiana State Police CREST mission, with assistance from the Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office, East Carroll Parish Sheriff’s Office, Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office, Alexandria Police Department, Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, Louisiana Probation and Parole, the U.S. Marshals Service, and the FBI.
LSP CREST was created to provide a specialized, rapid-response capability for critical missing person cases, including endangered children and vulnerable adults. The team supplements ongoing search and recovery efforts with regional expertise, investigative resources, and advanced technology. By offering a coordinated, statewide response, LSP CREST enhances public safety and provides families and communities with greater assurance that urgent cases will receive immediate, focused attention.

Lake Providence - As previously reported by the East Carroll Parish Sheriff’s Office, eight inmates escaped from the Riverbend Detention Center during the early morning hours on January 30, 2026. The East Carroll Parish Sheriff’s Office has requested that the Louisiana State Police Detectives–Monroe Field Office assume the lead role in locating and apprehending the fugitives. The East Carroll Parish Sheriff’s Office will serve as the lead agency in the investigation into the escape.
KNOWN INFORMATION – INMATE ESCAPE
At approximately 1:20 a.m., the following inmates were reported missing from the Riverbend Detention Center:

· Savion Wheeler, 31 – Captured and in custody
· Hugo Molina, 27 – Captured and in custody
· Trenton Taplin, 29 – Captured and in custody
· Kolin Loney, 21 – Captured and in custody
· Kevin Slaughter Jr., 25 – Captured and in custody
· Destin Brogan, 22 – Captured and in custody
· Krisean Salinas, 21 – Captured and in custody
· Kopelon Vicknair, 19 – Captured and in custody
All fugitives are considered violent offenders. Do not approach under any circumstances. If you observe or have information regarding their whereabouts, contact law enforcement immediately.
