Meraux – In December of 2024, the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit (LSP-SVU) began an investigation into an individual suspected of possessing child pornography residing in St. Bernard Parish. The investigation ultimately resulted in the arrest of 39-year-old Arthur Terry of Meraux.
On March 13, 2025, Investigators executed search and arrest warrants at a residence belonging to Terry in Meraux. Terry was arrested and booked into the St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office Prison for Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material involving victims under 13 (11 counts) and Sexual Abuse of an Animal (1 count). This case remains active and is ongoing. No further information is available at this time.
LSP SVU works to rescue and seek justice for the victims of crimes involving the exploitation of children and the trafficking of humans for sex or labor through investigative partnerships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and public education. The public plays a vital role in identifying suspects accused of these crimes and is urged to report criminal or suspicious activity.
