Sorrento Man Arrested for Possession and Distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material

Sorrento – In August of 2024, the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit (LSP SVU), working in conjunction with the Attorney General’s Office and the Department of Homeland Security / Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), began an investigation into the possession of child sexual abuse material. The investigation resulted in the arrest of 30-year-old Jesse M. Nigro of Sorrento.

On November 12, 2024, Investigators executed search and arrest warrants at a residence belonging to Nigro, where he was arrested and charged with Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material under the age of 13 (2 Counts) and Distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material under the age of 13. Nigro was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail. This case remains active and is ongoing pending further investigation.

LSP SVU works to rescue and seek justice for the victims of crimes involving the exploitation of children and the trafficking of humans for sex or labor through investigative partnerships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and through public education. The public plays an important role in identifying suspects accused of these crimes and is urged to report criminal or suspicious activity.
