Second Arrest in Two Years for Denham Springs Man Regarding Child Exploitation

Livingston Parish - On September 19, 2025, Detectives from the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit (LSP SVU) arrested 27-year-old Patrick McManus of Denham Springs for attempting to engage in sexual acts with a minor.

In late August 2025, LSP SVU, in collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), initiated an investigation related to the solicitation of a minor. McManus was identified as the suspect. He engaged in sexually explicit conversations with someone he believed to be a 15-year-old juvenile.

As a result of this investigation, McManus was arrested for Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor and Indecent Behavior with Juveniles. He was booked into the Livingston Parish Jail. This case remains active and is ongoing pending further investigation. No further information regarding this case is available at this time.

In 2023, Investigators from the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation (LBI) previously arrested McManus for Possession of Pornography involving Juveniles under the age of 13.
