Ponchatoula - In August of 2025, the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit (LSP SVU), received a report from a complainant that personal private images were sent without their consent to another cell phone number.
The Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit through investigative means identified the owner of the cell phone as 30-year-old Tyler A Adkins of Ponchatoula. LSP SVU applied for and was granted a search warrant on the device. As part of the investigation, LSP SVU conducted interviews with Adkins and his cellphone was seized. After a forensic search of Adkins phone, it revealed the photos of the complainant and over 700 images and videos of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
On October 23, 2025 LSP SVU, assisted by LSP Technical Support Unit (TSU), LSP Insurance Fraud / Auto Theft (IFAT) and Tangipahoa Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) executed search warrants at Adkins residence. At the same time Adkins met with detectives at a separate location and was taken into custody without incident. Adkins was booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on (1) count of LRS 14:283.2 Nonconsensual Disclosure of a Private Image and (728) counts of LRS 14:81.1 Pornography Involving Juveniles. Additional charges are possible after items seized from the residence are forensically searched.
