Pedestrian Struck and Killed in Livingston Parish Crash
Walker – Shortly before 4:00 a.m. on November 26, 2025, Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop A began investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian on LA 447 at Rougk Lane in Livingston Parish. The crash claimed the life of 47-year-old Jeremy Grubbs of Walker.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Grubbs was walking south in the southbound lane of LA 447. At the same time, a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado was also traveling south on LA 447. For reasons still under investigation, the front passenger side of the Silverado struck Grubbs.
Grubbs sustained serious injuries and was pronounced deceased on the scene. The driver of the Silverado was properly restrained and reported no injuries. Impairment is not suspected to be a factor in this crash; however, routine toxicology samples were collected for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.
Troopers urge all pedestrians and motorists to remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings at all times. Pedestrians should cross roadways at well-lit intersections and wear reflective clothing when walking near traffic, especially at night. These safety practices are critical in reducing preventable tragedies on our roadways.
