New Orleans Casino Dealer and Patron Arrested for Theft of More Than $10,000 from Caesars Casino

New Orleans – On April 8, 2025, detectives from the Louisiana State Police Gaming Enforcement Division - New Orleans Field Office began investigating a Theft of more than $10,000 involving a casino dealer at Caesars Casino in New Orleans. The investigation led to the arrest of the casino dealer, 46-year-old Margaret Lake of New Orleans, and 23-year-old Ahmod Junius of Violet.

During the investigation, detectives determined that while working as a Roulette dealer at Caesars, Lake was assisting Junius in the theft by allowing him to place several late wagers. On April 11, 2025, detectives executed search and arrest warrants at a residence belonging to Junius in Violet. Junius was arrested and ultimately booked into the Orleans Justice Center for one count of Theft between $5,000 and $25,000. On the same day, Lake was arrested at Caesars Casino in New Orleans and booked into the Orleans Justice Center for one count of Theft between $5,000 and $25,000. This case remains active and ongoing; no further information is available at this time.
