New Orleans – In October of 2024, Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations Detectives in the New Orleans Field Office, assigned to the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) task force, began working with Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), along with the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office (JPSO) regarding illegal distribution of controlled dangerous substances in New Orleans and the West Bank of Jefferson Parish. On June 23, 2025, LSP collaborated with NOPD, JPSO, FBI, and DEA to execute six search warrants at locations in Orleans and Jefferson Parishes.
As a result, detectives seized over $6,000 in U.S. Currency, nearly 250 grams of Cocaine, as well as Fentanyl and MDMA, and various paraphernalia commonly used to distribute illegal narcotics. Additionally, the properties of 1723 General De Gaulle Drive and 1700 Erie Street were seized, valued at a total of nearly $400,000.00. On the same date, the following six arrests were made related to the investigation:
Quinton Gilmore (45-years-old): Possession of Schedule I CDS (Heroin) and Possession of Schedule II (Fentanyl)
Sashara Gilmore (46-years-old): Possession of Schedule I CDS (Heroin) and Possession of Schedule II (Fentanyl)
Terrell Brown (32-years-old): Outstanding Warrants
Gregory Scott (61-years-old): Possession of Schedule II (MDMA) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Dwayne Refuge (44-years-old): Conspiracy to Distribute Schedule II (Cocaine) and Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance in a Drug Free Zone
Gabrielle Miles (54-years-old): Possession with intent to Distribute Schedule II (Cocaine), Distribution of Schedule II in a Drug Free Zone, Clandestine Lab for Producing Controlled Dangerous Substance, Conspiracy to Distribute Schedule II (Cocaine), Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance in a Drug Free Zone, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Proceeds from Drug Transactions
All arrested subjects were booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center. This case remains under investigation.
