Motorcyclist Killed in Two-Vehicle Cameron Parish Crash
Cameron – On October 21, 2026, shortly after 7:00 p.m., Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop D responded to a two-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 27 near LA 384. The crash claimed the life of 55-year-old man of Dangerfield, Texas.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2018 Ford F-150 towing a grain hopper was stopped on Louisiana Highway 27, preparing to make a left turn onto Louisiana Highway 384. At the same time a 2019 Harley Davidson was traveling south on Louisiana Highway 27 approaching the rear of the Ford. For reasons still under investigation, the Harley Davidson failed to stop and rear-ended the grain hopper.
The motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was wearing a DOT-approved helmet at the time of the crash. Impairment is not suspected; however routine toxicology samples were obtained and submitted for analysis.
Troopers urge all motorists to make responsible decisions while operating a motor vehicle. For motorcycle riders, enrolling in an approved safety course can significantly improve both riding skills and awareness on the road.
