Motorcyclist Killed in Rapides Parish Crash

Rapides Parish – On May 3, 2025, at approximately 10:46 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop E responded to a one-vehicle crash at 151 Hooper Road near Louisiana Highway 3225.  This crash claimed the life of 19-year-old Alijah F. Johnson of Ball.

The initial investigation revealed that a 2005 Honda motorcycle, driven by Johnson, was eastbound on Hooper Road. For reasons still under investigation, Johnson crossed the center lines, exited the roadway, and entered the westbound ditch which sequentially ejected Johnson from the vehicle.

Johnson sustained severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. Routine toxicology samples were collected and will be submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.

Troopers encourage all riders to take an approved motorcycle safety course. These courses teach safe riding practices and help you apply safe riding strategies that can help reduce your chance of injury should a crash occur.
