Motorcyclist Killed in Calcasieu Parish Crash
Westlake – On September 13, 2026, shortly before 8:30 p.m., Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop D responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on the Interstate 10 eastbound Exit 25 ramp to Interstate 210 eastbound in Calcasieu Parish. The crash claimed the life of a 33-year-old male of Iowa.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2009 Toyota Corolla was traveling on the I-10 eastbound Exit 25 ramp to I-210 eastbound. He was wearing a DOT-approved motorcycle helmet at the time of the crash. The driver of the Toyota was properly restrained and uninjured. Impairment is unknown; however, standard toxicology samples will be obtained and submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.
