Sulphur - On October 11, 2025, shortly after 6:00 a.m., Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop D began investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash on Louisiana Highway 27 at Ravia Road in Calcasieu Parish. The crash claimed the life of 36-year-old Aaron Bailey of Sulphur.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2018 Ford F-150 was traveling south on LA Hwy 27. At the same time, Bailey was riding a 2020 Vita motorcycle north on LA Hwy 27 at a high rate of speed. For reasons still under investigation, as the Ford began making a left turn onto Ravia Road, the motorcycle collided with the truck’s right side.

Bailey sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. The driver of the Ford was properly restrained and transported to a nearby hospital with moderate injuries.

Standard toxicology samples were collected from both drivers and submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.
