Motorcyclist Killed in Allen Parish Crash

Kinder – On August 23, 2025, shortly after 8:00 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop D began investigating a single-vehicle fatality crash involving a motorcycle on Carpenters Bridge Road west of Simmons Road in Allen Parish. The crash claimed the life of 75-year-old Michael Dupin of Kinder.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Dupin was riding a 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound on Carpenters Bridge Road while in a curve. For reasons still under investigation, the motorcycle traveled off the roadway before striking an embankment.

Although Dupin was wearing a DOT-approved helmet, he sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A standard toxicology sample was collected from Dupin and submitted for analysis. The crash remains under investigation.
