Louisiana State Police Detectives Investigating Sulphur Police Department Officer-Involved Shooting

Sulphur – On July 11, 2024, shortly after 6:00 p.m., Detectives with the Louisiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division were requested by the Sulphur Police Department to investigate an officer-involved shooting that occurred in the 600 block of South Kent Street. Investigators are working to process the scene and gather further information.


One subject was pronounced deceased on the scene. No officers were harmed during the incident. This is an active investigation; further information will be released when it becomes available.
