Athens – On December 17, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Detectives with the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations were requested by the Claiborne Parish Sheriff’s Office to investigate an officer-involved shooting that occurred on Dance Road. Detectives are working to process the scene and gather further information.
One subject sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No officers were harmed during the incident. This is an active investigation; further information will be released when it becomes available.
