Louisiana State Police Arrest Two Following Online Sexual Exploitation Investigation
Baton Rouge – On June 4, 2026, the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit (LSP SVU), with assistance from the Insurance Fraud and Auto Theft Unit (IFAT) and Criminal Investigations Unit (CIU), arrested two individuals following an undercover online operation aimed at identifying individuals engaged in the exploitation of children and other criminal sexual activity.
During the operation, investigators identified 33-year-old Isiah Stewart of Baton Rouge after he engaged in sexually explicit conversations with investigators and transmitted sexually explicit images to an individual he believed to be a 15-year-old child. As a result, an arrest warrant was obtained for Stewart. On June 4, 2026, Stewart was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile and Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor.
During the same operation, investigators identified 36-year-old Casey Allen Poole after he attempted to arrange commercial sexual activity with an undercover investigator posing as an adult female online. The investigation revealed that Poole agreed to engage in specific sexual acts in exchange for money and later arrived at a predetermined location to meet the individual he believed to be the adult female. On June 4, 2026, Poole was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for Purchase of Commercial Sexual Activity.
LSP SVU works to rescue and seek justice for the victims of crimes involving the exploitation of children and the trafficking of humans for sex or labor through investigative partnerships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and through public education. The public plays an important role in identifying suspects accused of these crimes and is urged to report criminal or suspicious activity. The Louisiana State Police online reporting system is available to the public through an anonymous reporting form that is submitted to the appropriate investigators. The form can be found by visiting http://la-safe.org/ and clicking on the “Suspicious Activity” link.
