Lafayette Parish – In March of 2025, detectives with the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit, in partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, conducted a joint operation into solicitation and indecent behavior with minors. The investigation led to the arrest of 29-year-old John Jones of Arkansas and 50-year-old Joseph Dore of Lafayette.
Throughout the course of the investigation, both Jones and Dore were found to have engaged in indecent online behavior involving minors. On March 19, 2025, Jones was placed under arrest, followed by the arrest of Dore on March 20, 2025. Both individuals were processed into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on the charges of LA R.S. 14:81.3 – Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor and LA R.S. 14:81 – Indecent Behavior with Juveniles. The investigation remains ongoing and active.
