Scott – On May 26, 2025, shortly before 3:00 a.m., Louisiana State Police Troop I began investigating a multi-vehicle fatality crash on Interstate 10 about one mile west of Louisiana Highway 93. The crash claimed the life of a driver whose identity is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
The initial investigation revealed that a Dodge Charger was traveling west on I-10 when it exited the roadway to the left, crossed the median, struck a guardrail, and came to a stop in the eastbound lanes of I-10. Shortly after, an eastbound Acura Integra and Ford F-250 struck the Dodge. Additionally, an eastbound Ram 1500 and Honda HRV struck debris that was in the roadway.
The driver of the Dodge sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. The drivers of the Acura and Ford were transported to local hospitals with moderate injuries, while the drivers of the Ram and Honda were not injured. The drivers of the Dodge and Ford were unrestrained; all others were properly restrained.
Toxicology samples were collected and submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.
