STATEWIDE ORIGINAL RELEASE
Orleans Parish – The Louisiana State Police has issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the New Orleans Police Department for 82-year-old Dorothea Hernaez. She was last seen on July 7, 2026, at 12:15 p.m. on St. Claude Avenue near Lamanche Street. LSP received the request to issue an alert at approximately 7:55 p.m.
Hernaez is a white female with brown eyes and long silver hair. She is 5’5” tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds, and was last seen wearing black pants and carrying a black purse. She has a medical condition that may impair her judgment.
Hernaez is believed to be on foot, traveling in an unknown direction.
Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to immediately contact the New Orleans Police Department at (504) 658-6050 or dial 911.
