BUREAU OF INVESTIGATIONS RELEASE: LSP Detectives Investigating Deputy-Involved Shooting in Terrebonne Parish

Houma – On November 5, 2026, just before 11:00 a.m., detectives within the Criminal Investigations Division, Houma Field Office, were requested by the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office to investigate a deputy-involved shooting following a pursuit that occurred on Louisiana Highway 24 near Henderson Street. Investigators are working to process the scene and gather further information.  

One subject was shot and pronounced deceased at the scene. No deputies were injured during the incident.  LSP Detectives are in the very preliminary stages of this investigation, and additional details will be released as they become available.
