Baton Rouge – Louisiana State Police is gearing up to launch the department’s 108th Cadet Class, continuing the legacy of excellence and intensity that defines our training. This 24-week academy will immerse Cadets in a demanding curriculum, preparing them with the skills and knowledge needed to become Louisiana State Troopers. Cadets will receive advanced training that exceeds POST standards, covering firearms proficiency, tactical driving, defensive tactics, de-escalation techniques, advanced crash investigation, lawful use of force, implicit bias recognition, and the core values that make LSP a proud tradition.
