To demonstrate our commitment to continuous improvement and accountability, the Louisiana State Police is actively pursuing accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). CALEA is an internationally recognized credentialing authority that sets rigorous standards designed to enhance professionalism, efficiency, and effectiveness in law enforcement.

Achieving CALEA accreditation is not a one-time milestone—it is an ongoing process that supports the continual development of LSP’s policies, training, and operations to better serve the public.
