PUBLIC AFFAIRS

The Louisiana State Police Public Affairs Section provides a public information function in support of the entire department.  LSP Public Information Officers interact with numerous sections within the department as well as other agencies and media across the nation.  In addition to media relations and public outreach, the Public Affairs Section is responsible for promoting the department’s safety education programs, social media presence, and state and national safety campaigns. Various programs targeted at educating children, parents, and the general public have fostered a positive relationship with local communities and have demonstrated that Troopers do much more than merely enforce traffic and criminal laws.
