Two Killed in Three-Vehicle Crash in East Baton Rouge Parish

Baker – Shortly after 7:00 p.m. on March 12, 2024, Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop A responded to a three-vehicle crash on LA 67 north of Dyer Rd. in East Baton Rouge Parish. The crash resulted in the deaths of two individuals who have yet to be identified.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2009 Infiniti G37 was traveling southbound on LA 67 behind a 2020 GMC Sierra (pulling a utility trailer.) At the same time, a 2009 Hummer H3T was traveling northbound on LA 67. For unknown reasons, the Infiniti struck the rear of the GMC, and then struck the northbound Hummer. The Infiniti left the roadway and became engulfed in flames.

The unidentified driver and passenger of the Infiniti suffered fatal injuries, and were pronounced deceased on scene. The drivers of the GMC and Hummer were transported to a local hospital with minor to moderate injuries. Impairment is unknown at this time; however, standard toxicology samples were taken and submitted for analysis.
