Prairieville Man Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography

Prairieville – In December of 2023, the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit (LSP SVU), with the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office, began an investigation into the attempted distribution and possession of child pornography. The investigation resulted in the arrest of 38-year-old Andrew G. Landry of Prairieville.

On April 1, 2024, Investigators executed search and arrest warrants at a residence belonging to Landry, where he was arrested and charged with LRS 14:81.1 - Possession of Pornography Involving Juveniles (5 Counts). He was booked into the Ascension Parish Prison. This case remains active and is ongoing pending further investigation.

LSP SVU works to rescue and seek justice for the victims of crimes involving the exploitation of children and the trafficking of humans for sex or labor through investigative partnerships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, and through public education. The public plays an important role in identifying suspects accused of these crimes and is urged to report criminal or suspicious activity.
