Multi-Agency Investigation Leads to Washington Parish Narcotics Seizure and Arrest

Bogalusa – Yesterday, Detectives with the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations continued an investigation with the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Bogalusa Police Department regarding the distribution of methamphetamine in the Bogalusa area. As a result of these proactive narcotics investigations, Detectives seized over 20 pounds of methamphetamine and over $4,500 in U.S. Currency. The estimated street value of the seized methamphetamine is approximately $220,000. Additionally, Detectives arrested 35-year-old James Wise of Bogalusa, and he was subsequently booked into the Washington Parish Jail with the following charges: possession with intent to distribute a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance and transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses.
