Louisiana State Police Investigating Officer-Involved Shooting (2)

Lafayette Parish- On August 6, 2023, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office requested Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations to investigate an officer-involved shooting in the 100 block of Rue Bon Secours Road in Lafayette Parish. Following a traffic stop resulting in an exchange of gunfire, one subject was shot and transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No deputies were injured during the incident.

This is an active scene, please utilize alternate routes around the area to allow for the movement of emergency vehicles and investigative personnel.
