Meth Lab Recognition and Safety for First Responders

By: Regional Counterdrug training Academy

Seminar Description: This course is specifically designed to provide First Responders knowledge on the dangers and immediate hazards of clandestine methamphetamine laboratories and indoor marijuana growing. In addition the students will be provided an understanding of manufacturing, distribution, packaging, and use of methamphetamine and marijuana, including the most common concealment methods in residences and vehicles. The student will learn how to identify clandestine laboratory and indoor marijuana growing hazards. We will learn the common methods of Methamphetamine distribution, price, packaging, and use of these drugs. Discuss the use of violence towards officers and others. We will see the effects Drug endangered children.  Discuss the concealment of indoor grows and methamphetamine laboratories and how drug couriers conceal marijuana, methamphetamine, and cocaine in vehicles.

Dress Code:

Long pants and appropriate shirt.  Uniforms are not required.

There is an on-site cafeteria for breakfast and lunch or there are several options near the Training Academy
