Course Description:

Accident Investigation Level I
This block of instruction is designed for first line accident investigators who are the initial investigators of an accident scene. Students will be taught to systematically gather and interpret crucial evidence from accident scenes to ensure the evidence is preserved long after the scene has been cleared.

Accident Investigation Level II
This block of instruction is designed for people who analyze data collected from accident scenes. This course enhances the capability and credibility of the on-scene investigator. Its objective is to develop skills in technically preparing accident investigation data and collecting follow-up data required by criminal and civil courts as well as traffic safety administrators.

Vehicle Dynamics
This block of instruction is designed for first line accident investigators who are the initial investigators of an accident scene. Students will learn to systematically gather and interpret crucial evidence from accident scenes to ensure the evidence is preserved long after the scene has been cleared. This course also introduces students to the basic mathematical procedures necessary to understand the action of forces and movement between vehicles involved in a crash.

Technical Accident Reconstruction Level I
This block of instruction is designed to teach students to use all available information gathered to determine how an accident occurred. Students will learn to utilize all data collected to determine undetected facts to prove or disprove theories on how the accident happened.

Technical Accident Reconstruction Level II
This block of instruction further explores methods for reconstructing accidents to determine how accident actually occur. Students will learn to use the techniques from all previous sections of training as well as introduce them to outside resources available to determine vehicle and occupant kinetics.
